ISA1 The All Ireland Domestic Arts Championship

THE IRISH SHOWS ASSOCIATION & BONNICONLON SHOW LTD. PRESENT

THE ALL IREAND DOMESTIC ARTS CHAMPIONSHIP

RULES AND CONDITIONS

Each exhibit must consist of Three items from the list below:

(A) – Handmade Picture any medium max. 60cm x 45cm (excluding frame)
(B) – Flower arrangement for a Dining Room table (space allowed 12” x 12”
(C) – Six Potatoes. Any Variety
(D) -Decorated Victoria Sponge (20cm/8” Round)(filling & Decoration must be Non Perishable)

  •   The Picture must be Handmade. Machine Work will not suffice.
  •   Potatoes must be grown by the exhibitor.
  •   Exhibitors may quality once only
  •   Two exhibitors to quality from each qualifying show
  •   This competition will be judged on a points system
  •   Points will be awarded for presentation.Exhibits to be in place before 11.30 on day of finalEntry fee: To qualifying Show €3. To final €6

ISA2 The Odlums All Ireland Home Baking Championship

THE IRISH SHOWS ASSOCIATION & TULLAMORE SHOW SOCIETY PRESENT

THE ODLUMS ALL IRELAND HOME BAKING CHAMPIONSHIP

RULES & CONDITIONS:

Each competitor must bake the Four items listed using Odlums products:

  •   Decorated Chocolate Cake 20cm /8ins Round
  •   Lemon Drizzle Loaf 900g/ 2lb Loaf
  •   Quiche Lorraine 20cm /8ins Round
  •   Multi Seed Bread 2 lb loaf tin
  • N.B. All recipes can be found on the Odlum’s website. Own recipes may also be used.
  • 1. Items to be displayed on individual plates and each exhibitor will be allotted their own space (trays optional) on a base 24” Square2. Points will be awarded for taste, texture, appearance of baked items and presentation.
    3. The competition is confined to amateurs, both male and female, with one entry per exhibitor at the final.
  • 4. The items must be fresh and home baked by exhibitor5. A special class will be held at each qualifying show. Two entries may qualify from these shows for the final, if judges agree that the standard is high enough. The Qualifiers from each of these shows will go forward to the final, to be held at the Tullamore Show, on Sunday August 13th.
    6. All items will be cut and/or sampled at the final
    7. Each of the successful qualifiers will receive a hamper containing Odlums products, on appearance at the final
    8. Certificates will be awarded to the finalists.
    9. The judge’s decisions at all stages of the competition, IS FINAL
    10. Exhibits are displayed at owner’s risk
    11. These rules should be read in conjunction with the Irish Shows Association Rules
    12. Marquee open from 7.30am on show morning and will be closed for judging at 10am sharp. Marquee will open to the public at 12 noon and exhibits may not be removed before 5.00pm.

ALL IRELAND BAKING CHAMPIONSHIP

RULES & CONDITIONS

Each exhibitor will bake 3 items

(A)- Chocolate Biscuit Cake (7” Round or Square Cake Tin)

(B)- Four Chocolate Brownies
(C) -Four Almond Squares

  1.  The Items to be displayed as one exhibit on a base of 2ft x2ft approx
  2. Points will be awarded for texture taste, and presentatio
  3. Competition is open to amateurs, male/female, and one tray to qualify per exhibition
  4. All items to be home made by the exhibiton
  5. A SuperValu Flour wrapper to be displayed with the exhibit
  6. A special qualifying class will be held at selected shows
  7. Two trays may qualify for the final, if judges agree that the standard is high enough.
  8. Judges decision will be final at all stages of the competition
  9. Exhibits are displayed at owners risk

ISA4 The Easterlicious Cook of The Year

RULES AND CONDITIONS

Each exhibitor will bake/make 3 items.

(a)Decorated Orange Victoria Sandwich (Butter Icing)

(b) Marble Cake (2 lb Loaf tin Size)

(c) 6 Cup Cakes (Decorated)

  1. The items to be displayed as one exhibit on a base of 2ft X 2ft approx.
  2. Points will be awarded for texture, taste & presentation suitable for Afternoon Tea
  3. Competition is open to amateurs male or female & one tray to qualify per exhibitor.
  4. All items to be home made by the exhibitor.
  5. A special qualifying class will be held at selected shows. Two trays may qualify for the Final if the Judges agree the standard is high enough
  6. Judges decision will be final at all stages of the competition.
  7. Exhibits are displayed at owner’s risk.

THE IRISH SHOWS ASSOCIATION & VIRGINIA SHOW SOCIETY PRESENT

THE FLEETWOOD PAINTS ALL IRELAND AMATEUR PAINTING COMPETITION

RULES & CONDITIONS

  1. Paintings must be the sole work of the exhibitor who must have amateur status.
  2. Paintings to depict an Agricultural or Rural setting.
    Paintings must measure no more than 26”X 20” not including the frame
  3. All Paintings must be ready to hang,that is framed and with a hanging cord attached
  4. The Judges decision will be final
  5. All entries to be exhibited at owners risk
  6. All entries to have amateur status as defined by the following:

A. Not to have had a commercial solo exhibition

B. Not to have exhibited in a commercial gallery

C. Not to be teaching or have taught art in any form

The Boyle Spaniel Dog All Ireland Championship

RULES AND CONDITIONS

1. Any variety of Spaniel Dog
2. Dog must be handled by any person over 18 years of age.
3. Dogs in final not eligible to compete in other classes at Boyle

Show other than a qualifier for another final
